Hi John

Sorry to hear what happened to your AD. Omega is trying to definitely ruin its relationship with its more than faithful customers.
Hayek and the management of Omega USA seem to prefer chic and expensive boutiques with unexperienbced people in watches than independants with real care to people and who value CRM.
Tourneau or other big shops are not something that I consider as professionals. If you start to question them too much on technical aspects of the watch they won't be able to answer your questions.
Smaller ADs were and are generally knowledgeable and passionate people not really the case of Tourneau who just sell watches just for selling.
Omega wants to be at same of level of price than Rolex, but does the quality of its movements follow? Not really? the 33xx is a constant source of problems, the coax 2500c is relatively new and isn't the 3135 and the awfull reputation of the newest Omega service centre really doesn't help Omega (for the note Rolex NY and Dallas aren't better).
Long gone are the days where Omega was considered equal if not superior to Rolex.
I really dislike the way things are managed at Omega, the 5100 dead, the 33xx faulty, the service centres not the best, what's next?
It is better to be conservative than introducing too much new products with not the best reliability and functionnality.

just my thoughts on this matter

regards

georges
