Loving that Purple Haze ! ! !

Shaun:

looks great to me, and authentic to boot!! It's difficult to be certain what these looked like, when they were new. now, 35 years later, so many of the Heuers have faded / morphed / evolved into entirely different shades. just look at the Daytonas, for the most dramatic examples.

I like the colour, especially with the extra "u" . . . wear this one with the purple bell-bottoms, while you listen to Jimi ! ! !

: What is the story with this "deep
: purple" cal15 Monaco? Anyone heard of
: such a model?

: I believe in it, but I have no proof that it is
: a real Heuer model except it looks 100%
: right (see the pic comparison with more
: common blue cal15 monaco).

: Maybe it is faded black dial, I'm very dubious
: that it is a faded blue version.

: Anyway it's my latest buy, and I believe in it,
: even if I am not sure of the explanation.

: Any ideas or opinions?

: (the scan is an untouched flat bed scan at 1200
: dpi resolution then reduced down to a normal
: screen size).
