Armageddon? Or it could just be...

Small samples, small samples, small samples. (just like the first two weeks of baseball season.)
Impending doom? Maybe?
Or maybe it's the beginning of vacation week for a lot of schoolkids (thus parents too) and it's three days before taxes are due. I saw a Cal 12 Carerra with awful pics bring almost $1,300 a week ago on ebay.
Are we in some kind of economic downturn? Yeah, but in many ways, it'll be as bad as we make it. We can't control external forces, but we can control our reactions to them. You can start stockpiling canned goods. Or not.
So while I wouldn't suggest that it's time to put all your savings into a heavily leveraged real estate investment (although some will and might make a lot of money) I think it might actually be time to buy (but not overspend on) a watch or a guitar or even a house in a buyer's market where you don't have to panic and overpay in the fear that it'll be gone in 30 seconds, as they say.
