Hello Jeff, You may remember the monaco with the red edge hands. I showed you in Switzerland last year.
At first i thought the hands were aftermarket or fake but looking at them closely you will see a resemblance of the old plain hands and the standard striped hands. They are the same shape as the standard hand and have the same brushed finish.

I have seen halve a dozen monacos with these hands. Including this grey one, with unusual box.

If these where transitional hands ie between the first plain hands and the standard hands this would not compliment the early all grey dial theory as these subdials are dark? it could suggest the all grey dials where the last in the series. we need to get a serial number list going
