This first Skipper (and the only one to use the Carrera case, they were Autavia-based after this) isn't in the '67 catalogue either:

The watch never seems to have made it into Heuer literature, which perhaps explains why there were some doubts expressed when one first surfaced! But they have been confirmed as genuine and there is indeed a picture of one in the TAG-Heuer museum somewhere on the forum. And 1967 should be about right too.

If it helps allay the concerns over spending near to the BIN price in auction, just think of the premium it would have if the seven letters of the name were C-A-R-R-E-R-A instead of S-K-I-P-P-E-R!

It's an interesting, distictive watch (the Autavia Skippers went for less psychedelic colours, after all) and I reckon another one to wear with pride.
