Have the book in hand / Rauch's chronograph
In Response To: Re: Have the book in hand.. ()

: Hi David,

: Yes I have seen those. I spent a rainy Sunday in going through the
: book. You are right the photo of Siegi Rauch is difficult to
: identify although the size of the watch ( compare it to his
: hand) and the shape of the watch, which seems more squarish than
: roundish, would support the thought of a Monaco.
: Anyhow, good idea ro scan the photos and scan them!

: Regards
: Ron

Please take a look at Chuck Maddox's blog entry dated Sep 1st, 2005, where he identifies Rauch's (Stahler in the movie) chrono as a Bucherer, equiped with a movement later found to be a Landeron. This movement has a very particular characteristic where, unlike almost every other chronograph, top pushbutton starts the chrono and the bottom pushbutton stops it and returns hands to zero.
