Can You Please Send Some Photos of This One

Arno:

Yes, the Monaco shown on page 193 is an absolute beauty . . . the patina of the hands and dots . . . and the amazing grain of the case . . . as perfect as we ever see on any Monaco!!

Given the scarcity of NOS for this model, it would be great to add photos of this sample to OnTheDash . . . any chance that you might be able to provide some of these high resolution photos by e-mail?

Here is a theory: The reason that we do not see NOS in this version is that these are among the ones that the racers / real wearers favored. I have had two of these 73633Bs from the first owners, and both of these original owners were proud to have worn these watches every day, and even given them a real beating!! So these two samples were "all original", but far from NOS.

: Jeff I think you are spot on with the nos value of the 73633
: B.
: I show a nos example in heuerchronographs on page 193, the watch
: came from a former Heuer dealer private collection.
: It came with the original non automatic chequered flag box and had
: the matching reference number stamped on the sleeve which is
: very rare. The watch came with its original blue strap and the
: little sun Heuer buckle with the red Heuer sticker on the
: backcase. The full set can be seen on page 273 top left.
: Production numbers of the manuall winds were much lower, I remember
: Jack Heuer guessing around 800 pieces. Good news is that there
: are rarely seal issues on these as Heuer used another supplier
: by then.
: The German watch manufacturer Sinn in Frankfurt produced during the
: late 70 is a Monaco styled watch under his brandname Guinard
: using the same case supplier, thats where the backcases without
: Heuer toolnumber originate from.
: I had several offers for my watch after the book had come out,
: ranging between 8000 and 10000 euros.
: Whilst I have seen a few grey dialled nos Monacos it was the only
: blue original nos one I have found during the last decade
: collecting Heuers.
: Any others out there ?

: Cheers
