Mark, you have raised another company that has gone south - Windows. WP7 is to date one of the oddest OS's which doesn't feature cut and paste, and to make things funnier, their first update for the OS was 'an update that will enable future ipdates'...

My personal opinion on majority of these major companies is they focus on 'how many can we sell and what's the profit margin' rather than 'how can we improve this product for consumers'. Oddly enough, it is my belief that if their shift their focus to improving their products, their primary concern will be addressed (Apple is one great example)...
