Re: New Member w/ Autavia
In Response To: New Member w/ Autavia *PIC* ()

Welcome to our small world Ty

Fantastic watch - super rare especially with the fully lumed hands.

Make sure that it is "restored" very carefully. Better just give it a clean. New lume would make it look fantastic, but it would lose a lot of history. I believe that my old Autavia 3646, that you can see below, had new lume applied when the so called "Master" (Hans Schrag) from US restored the watch.

I recently had a early Autavia cleaned in Parma, Italy by Giancarlo Martini. He did a super job and I can highly recommend him. Look here http://chronocentric.com/forums/heuer/index.cgi?md=read;id=43556

But there are several watchmakers that can do the job and i am sure that Darren has given you some names.

Where in the world are you living?

You are welcome to visit my Heuer website to see more watches www.watchsite.dk.
