Re: EBAy buying
In Response To: EBAy buying ()

Check the eBayer's feedback and to make sure this person sells a lot of watches. Look specifically for the number of negative feedbacks overall and in the past month. As a rule of thumb I don't buy anything from a seller with less than 98% positive feedback (there are exceptions). Also, be very careful with ID theft. I had the winning bid on an expensive Patek Philippe from an eBayer who looked trustworthy. I checked further into his profile and saw that the addresses & telephone numbers he provided did not match with the profile in eBay. Furthermore, this person did not have other transactions on eBay for about a year and then suddenly posted two Patek Philippes... so something was strange. Furthermore the guy didn't want to meet in person to hand the watch over. Needless to say we never sent the money and later eBay determined this was a case of ID theft. The crook got access to the eBayer's info and posted items he obviously didn't have... so buyer beware!!!!
