I disagree with youfor tehse reasons:
-rolex invented the triplock crown with three dots in the late 70's early 80's
-rolex invented the screwed case back and screw down crown in the 30's for giving the watch maximum waterproofness
Rolex crown system is often used as a reference in terms of crowns. None was able to propose a better crownsystem than the rolex system.
I wouldn't compare a watch with very common mass prodcued movement to something high grade and with a movement that made its proofs for a long time.It is like cars, soem cars are fitted with very middle range of components and won't last long.Inhouse versus non inhouse the eternal debate.
