Thanks for the great advice! I have a TAG Heuer pro quartz diver (had it since '93, two years longer than my Omega) that has become my regular water watch, along with an Ironman timex I use for triathlon training (thus the swimming angle). The TAG is practically indestructible. I actually looked at the Speedmaster as a more utilitarian Omega for tougher duty than my seamaster, which has always seemed to me, well, a little fancy (but in a good way). My seamaster has basically become my daily and dress watch, and only occasionaly a true sports watch as the years go by. I think the speedy would still fit that bill, just not in the water, I suppose! I have shopped citizens but resisted buying one (although I do like the looks of them) only because I have this thing about proving that an Omega or Heuer is more than just a pretty face. Maybe I need to let that go!
