Re: Check Out Tissot as well...

John,

I don't trust Citizen automatics. I do trust Seiko and Orient automatics. At the risk of sounding like an old man who keeps repeating himself, I have a great Orient 3 Star automatic watch that I bought for US$60. It's amazingly accurate, and looks far better than it's price. If someone would tell me it costs US$600, I'd belive him/her. That's how good it looks! :_) As a matter of fact, I'm wearing it as I speak. It's my favorite watch next to my Seamaster AT.

Common man

: I made that mistake with the Casio quartz watch
: I just got rid of. I bought it for about $30
: thinking it would be my "beater"
: watch, but it kept such bad time that I kept
: thinking to myself "my Bond SMP auto
: keeps better time than this QUARTZ
: watch." I knew that Tissot had some
: nice quartz models I had been looking at for
: a while, so I settled on the Seastar. From
: now on I won't chance buying anything
: without a Swiss movement in it. I've had
: such bad luck with Casio and Seiko that I
: don't trust anything that doesn't have
: "SWISS MADE" on the dial.
