Re: I'm sorry to read this John.

Dear Felix,

Actually, Georges already answered your questions quite precisely.

My concern is particularly with the Customer and Repair service quality of Omega. When I hear of horror stories like the one of the Repair service in New Jersey that scratched the case and glass of a watch, and re-attached a bracelet completely the other way around, and didn't even notice the obvious mistake, I think that's EXTREMELY poor service. I don't think that a "premium" brand such as Omega can allow itself to provide such poor service to its customers.

This taints Omega's image a million times more than any store not fitting Omega's exact "premium" image qualifications.

Personally, I don't mind buying an Omega from a shop that doesn't fit Omega's so called "premium" image. What is important is for me to know that the store gives me the best service available, a good price, and above all, a perfect watch.

I don't find it necessary to buy a Mercedes Benz from a glittery showroom either. I just need to know that the product I buy is of good quality, the person I buy it from is reputable and dependable, and the after purchase service, which includes customer and repair service of the company is of excellent quality.

I have spent several thousand US$ on my Seamaster AT, not only in order to get myself a good "premium quality" watch. I have spent that much money for the whole package, which has to include excellent customer and repair service.
Unfortunately, for some mysterious reasons, it doesn't look like Omega can offer that kind of customer and repair service right now.
