Re: Watch Winder???
In Response To: Re: Watch Winder??? ()

: Based on what you've described I can only
: assume that your winder is bad. If you have
: fully wound your watch and wear it for 12
: hours a day, you really don't even need to
: use the winder. Since it runs well within
: COSC specs while off the winder but runs
: outrageously far out of spec on the winder,
: it seems logical to conclude that the winder
: is the source of the problem. I'd just stop
: using it all together and see what happens.
: Perhaps the motion of the winder has become
: more "jerky" over time as it the
: motor has started to fail?

: If you hadn't mentioned fully winding the
: watch, I would have suspected a low power
: reserve. Timekeeping becomes poor as a watch
: gets down to the bottom of its power
: reserve, but if yours is fully wound, then
: this doesn't seem to be the case.

: Good luck,
: John

Speaking about winders, anyone have any experience with SMPs on the winders sold by Sharper Image under their Sharper Image design label and what the correct settings should be? The options seems to be 3min/hr, 6min/hr, 9min/hr and 12min/hr.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Vince
