Re: Watch Winder???
In Response To: Re: Watch Winder??? ()

: When the watch is fully wound, you can hear a
: clicking noise as you turn the crown. You
: may have to hold the watch close to your ear
: to hear this. Anyway, I set the winder at
: the different positions for a day and then
: took the watch off to see if I could hear
: the clicking noise as I turned the crown. If
: I could, it was being kept fully wound. If
: not, it wasn't being kept at its full power
: reserve.

Never thought of that. I thought the crown would click even when the watch is not wound at all since I know I picked up a SMP that completely stopped because the entire power reserve is used up and wound it and it still made the clicking sound. While we're on the subject of watchwinders, are the Sharper Image winders any good? I noticed they sell the Steinhausen winders now as well.

Cheers,
Vince
