Great advice, watch guy

Watch Guy,
Clearly you are not a fan of Omega any more, so it really puzzles me as to why you continue to post here. Surely you find something attractive about the brand to continue to lurk on an OMEGA forum. The alternatives to this are unexplicable.

Now you say, trade your Omega for a Brietling or Tag. Ok, lets examine. Breitling's are primarily based on ETA movements, in fact, the 2892 A2 is used in their lines, and in A host of other high end watches. Surely you are not suggesting that someone that owns an Omgea with a 2892 A2 based movement trade for another? That would seem somewhat foolish.

As for Tag, many of their watches are powered by lesser grade ETA movements such as the 2824. So you are saying trade your Mercedes for a Jetta because the whole Mercedes line is unreliable. Again, foolish.

Come on, Omega produces about 600k watches per year. If you can provide some documentation that more than 5% of all those watches have problems, and that all other brands have a lesser % of defects to sales, then we will appreciate your posts. Otherwise, why don't you go hang out on the Breitling or Tag forums. Surely there are no posts about problems on those forums. It might be a "happier" place for you.

By the way, I own two Omega automatics, a cal 1120 and a cal 2500, and my wife owns a ladies quartz. None of them have given me a single problem.

Oh, and how do you explain how a company with such piss poor watches can continue to stay in business. Surely such an inferior piece of crap watch would have forced the company into bankruptcy by now.
