In Response To: barca against the divers.... ()

It's not really my place to talk about Dutch football, except that I watched Dennis Bergkamp for 10 years (and Marc Overmars for a few), but would you agree it is particularly bad for Hiddink, being Dutch, as the tradition for the Dutch team is generally a few beautiful glorious wins, punctuated by loses to more pragmatic teams and some self destructive infighting. Certainly if you want defensive efficiency and winning without playing, you need to look over the border to the old enemy, Germany. Hiddink was certainly not following the tradition of Cruyff, Rep, Van Basten and Bergkamp last night! Actually for the last twenty years there has been a big Dutch influence for Barca, but now I guess there is none.

Let's hope barca can win the final!
