Alex:
How do you say that this one is only a Chronomatic dial, and was rebuilt from a "normal Siffert"? Serial number is from the very narrow Chronomatic range, and not in the range of the "normal" production Sifferts, so it appears that the dial and the case are both authentic.
Maybe the case has been polished; maybe the movement has been updated . . . but we know that this often happened in routine service jobs, before these watches became "holy" and untouchable among the collectors.
We can have open discussions, but we should be very careful with the accusations.

: Dear all,
: I also got pictures of the here offered Chronomatic Siffert
: Autavia.
: As far as I can see this watch was rebuild from a normal Siffert
: offered recently. So only the dial was exchanged. also the box
: does not belong to this model (but was sold with the other
: watch). Case is refurbished and ploished (as with the other
: watch). Even the bezel insert looks the same....
: Any comments to this? I think at this high (expected) price level
: we should discuss the quality very well.
