I think he gave you a line of typical AD crap. Come on, Rolex has been using the same base movements for many, many years now. How much training does it take to work on the same movement year after year. Better yet, how many Rolex technicians does it actually take to work on a Rolex calibre? It probably was a lame excuse to you for not having his own Rolex repair man on staff. Also, I would assume that because Omega is constantly changing its calibre's, I would assume that significant training is involved to become an Omega certified technician.
