Re: ialwayslovethatone!!

: Dear Sam: I (and probably a lot of other people
: here...) would question your comment about
: Omega having better service after the sale,
: seeing as a number of us have had absolutely
: horrible experiences with the Swatch
: facility in Pennsylvania and/or the newer
: one in Secaucus. It would appear that you
: have been to the Secaucus facility, and
: could you give us some sense of what you
: thought the organization was like??

: Here's a link what happened to one of the
: regulars in here, and other people have
: waited a long time and had to send the watch
: back multiple times to get it fixed.

: I'm not trying to start a flame war here, but
: in light of posts like these, I'm trying to
: get some idea of how a longtime professional
: like yourself could have such a different
: view of the quality of Omega service than
: some of us have experienced.

: Thank you for any light you can shed on this
: matter.

Omega sells 10 times or maybe more times the number of watches that Rolex sells, so there's always a higher number of Omega repairs than Rolex. But as far as % goes, Omega has a lower % of problems than Rolex, at least from my experience. Both are very fine watches worth what they sell for, but its easier to get parts for Omega. And thats the main reason why I say that after sales service is important.
As far as the facility, I'm not an Omega spokesman so I'm not going to make any comments other that to say that its cleaner than a hospital. Mistakes are always going to happen, even a BMW has problems.
By the way, does anybody out there knows how long it takes to fully test an automatic Omega after is finished?
