...results were solid but lacking the fireworks on some pieces that some were expecting. I too am of the view that the Carreras performed well on the whole - but even here there were a few surprises. Most notable the 3147 'Indi' and the Carrera 12 Dato on double GF. Andee sold one of the former (the 3147) earlier this year at a price i think more accurately reflects the significance and rarity of the piece, and the latter, the Dato was a bargain for somebody at 17.5K CHF given the complication, condition and bracelet.
It will be interesting to see how much movement there is of pieces over the next few weeks and the prices they achieve. I know many people were waiting for this auction to test the market appetite / level for certain pieces.
Results aside, it appeared as though all who managed to make it there in person had a great time... i just wish work and other commitments had been different so that i could have joined you all.
